Ornate cedar chest in distressed Sea Blue with black glaze - Before and After from Facelift FurnitureWhen I came upon this ornate cedar chest, it had lots of potential. The vintage design held all the detail that would look great with a new look provided by paint, glaze and distressing.

After scuffing the piece and removing loose paint, I primed it white. It was then painted Sea Blue, with Black Glaze used to accent the wear, tear, and ornate and detail.

Distressing reveals both the white primer and original tones, providing a double contrast and added character to the new color.
