This ornate dresser shouted out loud it’s potential when I first laid eyes on it. With paint, glaze and distressing, I knew it could take on a whole new look. Combined with new pulls, a big pop of character was about to happen.
I first spray primed the dresser, knowing that the white would pop through the distressing along with the original wood tones.
I then hand painted it Barn Red, using Black Glaze over the new color to accent the molding and ornate detailed areas. The new dark bronze pulls tied in nicely, providing a much needed upgrade from the original pulls.
