Art Deco Vanity in Distressed Sea Blue – Before & After

Art Deco Vanity Desk in Sea Blue & Black Glaze - Before & After from Facelift FurnitureThis art deco vanity had all the potential I look for in a weary, old piece just waiting to have a new life.

Previously spray painted black, I knew it would look great painted, glazed and distressed.

Except there was one problem.

One of the left legs was damaged, and despite all my best efforts, I could not repair and restore it to it’s previous durability. So I made the difficult decision of cutting the leg off, as well as the leg that matched it on the opposite side.

I then refinished it in Sea Blue, with Black Glaze accenting all the great art deco detail. The original pulls were spray painted black, and reused.

Despite the loss of two legs, the vanity desk came back to life with the new colors that made all it’s character pop.
