Ornate Nightstand in Robin’s Egg Blue & Black

Robin's Egg & Black Nightstand - Before & AfterThis ornate nightstand is painted, glazed and distressed in two colors. Robin’s Egg Blue covers the drawers, sides, and molding, with Black Glaze accenting details areas. The top and bottom are painted Black, with white primer popping through the distressing.

The original pull for the top drawer had been replaced by a knob by the time I purchased it. I replaced it with a vintage pull that fit the style better, and spray painted it and the bottom drawer pull black.

This old chest of drawers was given a new life with paint, glaze and distressing.

Refinished in Robin’s Egg Blue, with Black glaze accenting the molding and detail, as well as providing an antiqued look to the new color.

Light distressing revealed the original wood tones.

The original pulls were reused as a throw back to the original design.

Art Deco Chest of Drawers in Robin’s Egg Blue – Before & After

This weary old art deco chest of drawers looked way past it’s prime. It was given a whole new life with paint, glaze and distressing!

With it’s formica top, Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 spray primer was applied as a base coat.

The chest of drawers was then painted Robin’s Egg Blue, with Black Glaze accenting the oak wood grain, molding, and ornate detail on the drawers.

Vintage pulls were repurposed and spray painted black for the bottom drawers, with their style complementing the curves on the upper drawers.

Light distressing popped out the original wood tones.
