Nightstand repurposed into sewing storage - Before and After from Facelift FurnitureThis simple nightstand was repurposed into a sewing storage cabinet for my daughter using paint, glaze and distressing.

The top was painted Dark Brown, while the front and sides were painted Robin’s Egg Blue. 

The drawers were painted Turquoise, Blazing Orange, Lime Green, and Peacock Blue. 

Black Glaze was used to provide an aged look with the new colors. Light distressing revealed the original wood tones and white primer. 

Brushed silver knobs were add to the drawers. 

 

French Nightstand in Distressed Turquoise – Before & After

This old French provincial nightstand was given a new life with paint, glaze and distressing!

Refinished in Turquoise, Black Glaze was used to accent the ornate detail and molding.

Distressing revealed the white primer and original wood tones.

The original drawer pull was reused as a throw back to the original design.

The dated original hardware was spray painted black, providing a tie in to the original design.

Robin's Egg Blue & Black Glaze - Nightstand2Robin’s Egg Blue bring a cool, classy look to weary old furniture that’s seen it’s better day. 

This nightstand took on a new life when Robin’s Egg Blue refreshed it’s worn out look. And Black Glaze brought to life the great detail in the drawer molding and ornate drawer face.

Distressing drew out the lighter white primer, as well as the original wood tones. The pulls were spray painted black, topping off the pop of the new look.
