Repurposed Furniture Ideas & Inspiration

Repurposed Furniture Ideas & InspirationVintage furniture that’s dated, beyond repair, and discarded may be repurposed and recreated into one-of-a-kind accents that pop with character and live on with charm.

With paint, glaze and distressing, old headboards, often not tall enough for newer beds, may be repurposed in coat or towel racks, chalk boards, and even photo displays.

Broken old chairs may also take on a new life as coat racks. The same may be said with small cabinet doors and drawer fronts from dressers discarded by the roadside.

Even the sides and legs of coffee tables as well as the sides and ends of cribs may repurposed! You can find examples of all of these in our Repurposed Wall Pieces collection.

It’s an album with a full does of DIY inspiration and pleasure, full of ideas and our favorite repurposing projects! Dig into the collection HERE!

Vanity in Distressed Antiqued White – Before & After

Vanity in Distressed Antiqued White - Before & After from Facelift FurnitureThis vanity was given a whole new life with paint, glaze and distressing.

Refinished in Antiqued White, light Tobacco glaze was used to accent the wood grain and detail.

Distressing revealed the wood grain, and the original ornate pulls were reused as a throw back to the original design.

Vintage Mirrors in New Colors

Vintage dresser mirrors are great candidates for an upstyled look.  There matching mirrors, dated “1971” on the back, were set free in Lime Green  and Turquoise.  Both are distressed and with heavy black glaze.  They are each 45″ tall, and just 19.5″ wide, providing a narrow wall space with a lot of pop!
