When I first saw this dresser, what caught my eyes were the pulls. I’ve refinished several French dressers, but never seen pulls this large and bold in their style.
When I opened the doors, I had to make a decision. The drawers being the doors were missing, and without a way to repurpose that space, the dresser was basically rendered useless.
I quickly saw the potential to create shelves where the drawers had been, purchased the piece, and went forward with that plan. I cut thick press board to fit the drawer spaces, and attached them.
I then painted, glazed, and distressed the piece in Off White and Tobacco Glaze, Distressing revealed the white primer and original wood tones.
With it’s new upstyled look, this dresser became a living area media console with a fantastic touch of class and one-of-a-kind character.
