Painted, Glazed & Distressed French Chest in Turquoise & Black Glaze - DIY inspiration from Facelift FurnitureOld French Provincial furniture pieces are prime candidates for the transformation paint, glaze and distressing deliver.

This French chest of drawers, with it’s signature pulls, was refinished in Turquoise. Black glaze accented the molding, while also providing an antiqued look.

Light distressing revealed the original wood tones, while the white primer provided extra pop and contrast to the new color.

The original pull were spray painted black, topping off the new look of the stylish piece.

Sea Blue and Black Glaze on French Provincial Bedroom Furniture - DIY Inspiration from Facelift Furniture!Sea Blue brings a distinctive look to weary old furniture in need of a new look.  

With paint, glaze and distressing, these French pieces were given a whole new life in Sea Blue and Black Glaze.

Ralph Lauren Black Glaze accented the molding and detail, providing an accented look. 

Distressing brought out the original off white finish and wood tones.

Refinished in Barn Red, with Black Glaze accenting the hand carved molding on the drawers that were lightly distressed, the detail on the pieces popped!

New pulls were added to the drawers, finishing off the new look of these matching nightstands.

Black French Provincial Dresser – Before & After

French provincial dresser in distressed black - Before & After from Facelift FurnitureVintage French provincial dressers are in a class of their own, and are a favorite to refinish. This nine drawer dresser was pained Kettle Black, distressed, and sealed with high gloss polyurethane.

High gloss was selected for this custom order because of the additional pop it would provide. It delivered, and with the original pulls, it takes on a new life and makes a statement loud and clear that it’s qualities are to be enjoyed for years to come.
