Chunky Barn Red End Table - Before & After from Facelift Furniture

This chunky old end table was given a new life with paint, glaze and distressing

Refinished in Barn Red, the end table took on a new life! Black glaze accents the detail and molding, accenting the design of the piece.

Distressing revealed both the original wood tones and white primer that provided an extra pop.

Small white marble and brass pulls were added the drawers to top off the new look. 

The transformation is this old end table is one of my favorites, and I decided it was a keeper! Since childhood, I’ve loved the color red. It’s also the color of my favorite football team! Go Big Red!!

This small Duncan Phyfe pedestal table was given a new life with paint, glaze and distressing

Refinished in Peacock Blue, Black glaze was used to accent the detail and provide an antiqued look.

Light distressing revealed the original wood tones. 

The original hardware on the tips of the table legs were reused as a throw back to the original design.

Vintage Furniture REDO

Dated vintage furniture often has features that look great when painted, glazed and distressed

Vintage furniture with chunky legs and highly molded features look great with the pop of paint and the contrasting effects of glaze.

Distressing draws out those features even more, as original wood tones show through. Primer popping through can also add to the contrast with the new color!
