Chunky nightstand in Antiqued White with Tea Stained Glaze. Heavy distressing reveals dark wood stain, providing nice contrast to new finish. “New” vintage pulls (left over from a previous dresser project) add to the chunky look!
Update March 27, 2014 – Nearly three years ago, I discovered the magic of what glaze can do to painted furniture. This nightstand was my first piece to try it on, and immediately I was sold.
I was so new to refinishing furniture at the time, that I called this an end table. The name has been changed, and I’ve also added a Before & After graphic below capturing the transformation!
My glazing technique has changed too, from a brushed look to a rubbed look. But either way, glaze does wonders to draw out and add to the character of furniture!
